The Role

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator who has experience operating a telehandler, Skid steer, and loader to join our team at Syncrude. Compensation/Benefits

• CLAC rate: $43.62 - $48.59 Hour depending on experience
• Time and a half after 8 hours per day
• Vacation and stat holiday pay

Responsibilities/Job Duties 

• Operate and transport materials around worksite
• Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas and other locations
• Position loads precisely in accordance with worksite needs
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues
• Assist with manual labour tasks as needed 
• Site cleaning and preparation - Snow clean up

Requirements/Qualifications

• Proven experience as an operator in similar role
• Valid telehandler certificate is a must 
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and equipment maintenance 
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
• Residence within Fort McMurray preferred
• Must have valid safety tickets: CSO and WHMIS 2015
• Ensure a safe team environment
• Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Previous industrial experience is an asset
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
