The Role
We are currently seeking a Loader Operator to join our team at project in Fort McMurray, AB.
End Date: End of September
Shift: 10 days on/ 4 days off, 10 hours per day
Camp provided: Grey Wolf
Compensation/Benefits
- CLAC hourly wage depending on experience
- Payday is every Friday
- Company contributed RRSP & Pension contributions
- Benefits after 300 hours
- Paid training
- 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings
- OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and/or loaders safely and efficiently in heavy civil environments
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, finish grading, and earthmoving tasks to specifications
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
- Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to meet project tolerances
- Work collaboratively with ground crews and other operators to ensure safe and productive site operations
- Assist with general labour or other equipment operation when required
- Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practiced
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience (civil earthworks preferred)
- Proven experience as a finish grade operator with the ability to achieve precise tolerances
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, compaction, and earthmoving practices
- Ability to read and follow construction drawings, grade stakes, and GPS systems (asset)
- Safety certifications: CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance 201
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and ability to pass pre-employment requirements
- Must be able to work legally in Canada
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
