The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and safety-conscious Equipment Operators for the ITA1 Project at Kearl Lake, a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safety-first environment on a 14/14 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary.

• Principal Excavator Operators
• Principal Dozer Operators
• Rock Truck Operators
• Skid Steer Operators 
• Sideboom Operators
• Loader Operators
   

Compensation & Benefits

• CLAC hourly wages depending on experience
• OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day
• Company contributed RRSP & Pension contributions
• Benefits after 300 hours
• 10% vacation and stat pay on all regular hours worked
• Paid training
• Payday is every Friday

Responsibilities and Duties

• Safely operate heavy machinery 
• Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operational
• Interpret and follow site plans, blueprints and instructions from Supervision 
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues or malfunctions properly
• Assist with general labour duties on-site when required

Qualifications

• 3+ years previous experience operating equipment in an industrial construction setting 
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Ground Disturbance ticket
• Familiarity with GPS and other tracking devices 
• Drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures 
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must complete a criminal background check
